Het stroomverbruik van LED's is een fractie van dat van gewone gloeilampen. De lens is van zo goed als onbreekbaar PMMA plexiglas. De behuizing is IP-68+ waterdicht uitgevoerd. LED's zijn ongevoelig voor vibraties. Nooit meer de mast in om een lamp te vervangen. LED's hebben een brandduur van 50.000 uur. Bij 20 nachten per vaarseizoen is dat een levensduur van 200 jaar! Wist u overigens dat zowel Nick Moloney (Skandia) als Mike Golding (Ecover) in de Vendee Globe 2004-05 met Lopolight zeilden? In de Volvo Ocean Race 2005/2006 zijn alle boten uitgerust met Lopolight navigatieverlichting terwijl een van de boten de carbon uitvoering gemonteerd heeft. Enables the person to move around while wearing.
These silicon socks look a bit odd at first glance but they work great and best of all, any lotions and oily creams are contained on the inside so you can walk around. They are very soft. I haven't had them long so I can't comment on durability, but they are not made of lightweight material.
