Naalddruk instelbaar tussen 1 en 2gram, optimum 1,5gram
Het Shure M44 element is voor twee verschillende toepassingen gemaakt. Een speciale reeks voor DJ's, met een "extra zwaar aangezette laagweergave" én in een "normale" (neutrale) Hifi-reeks. Verder is bij dit soort elementen, een beter element voor meer dan 95% een betere naald. Met de betere naalden voor deze elementen kan de weergavekwaliteit dus nog enorm worden opgevoerd.
De hifi-naalden zijn er verder in een "low-compliance" uitvoering, (compliantie= bewegelijkheid/veerkracht) bedoeld voor zware en/of simpele, niet instelbare, platenspeler-armen en in een "high-compliance" uitvoering, bedoeld voor platenspelers met een "fatsoenlijk" instelbare arm. Voor de Shure M44/55 hifi-elementen, plus de door het Japanse Jico gemaakte remakes van dit element (J44 & J50) zijn dus nog een hele rij Hifi-naalden leverbaar, tot verrassende topnaalden aan toe. Onderstaand de hifi-naalden:
- In de laag compliante uitvoering, (compliantie = bewegelijkheid/veerkracht) zijn er de volgende "Swiss-made" standaardnaalden: De sferische universele (0,7mil) diamantnaald, voor het afspelen van zowel mono als stereo-vinylplaten, (Geeft wel meer plaatslijtage bij stereo-vinyl) artikelnummer 450267, de "normale" standaard sferische stereo diamantnaald (0,5mil), artikelnummer 400267 én de betere elliptische N44E diamantnaald, artikelnummer 401039.
- In de hoogcompliante uitvoering zijn er de volgende "Swiss-made" standaard naalden: De standaard sferische N44G diamantnaald, artikelnummer 406361 en de betere elliptische N55E diamantnaald, artikelnummer 410274.
Verder maakt de Japanse topfabrikant Jico de volgende (hoog-compliante) naalden voor deze elementen, waarmee het een compleet ander en beter element wordt:
- De Jico/Shure J44D/M44G improved 0,5 mil "naked diamond" uitvoering onder nummer 477040 en de J44A7/M44/7 improved 0,5 mil "naked diamond" uitvoering onder nummer 477041
- Een drietal zeer bijzondere en verrassende, speciaal geslepen "Naked Diamond" naalden op bijzondere houten cantilevers, voor een ongehoord levendige en warme weergave, ook van oude en "doorleefde" platencollecties: Op een "Kurogaki wood cantilever" onder nummer 477090, op een "Ushikoroshi wood cantilever" onder nummer 477092 én op een "Yurushi-Iro wood cantilever" onder nummer 477142
- Tenslotte zijn er voor de M44 en M55 elementen ook nog een aantal speciale naalden: De speciale N44C jukeboxnaald onder nummer 400360, 2 speciale 1mil mono naalden onder de nummers 401724 & 477167 en een speciale 78rpm diamantnaald onder nummer 430267.

Obsessed. Soothing, effective, fragrance-free, incredibly healing
Style: Tolerance Daily Foaming Facial Cleanser
I’ve been loving this so much I bought a second bottle after a few days of using it. It has all the skin soothing benefits of the tolerance lotion cleanser, but it’s also a really great cleanser. It’s almost not noticeable how good it is at cleansing because your skin doesn’t feel stripped after, but it takes things off really quickly. I was worried because it doesn’t foam a lot and it feels so nurturing — much like the tolerance lotion cleanser (which I use as a second cleanse when my skin needs a few days to recover from something like a derm office treatment) — but when I wash again with my favorite HG cleanser nothing extra comes off, and I tested it twice on waterproof eyeliner that I’d swiped on my forearm for an hour or so, the eyeliner dissolved and wiped off with two or three gentle swipes. It has a very emollient texture, so when you rub it against your skin it slips so easily you don’t realize it’s dissolving and taking things away because there is no friction. So it’s great at taking off makeup, it’s AMAZING at cleaning makeup brushes, and IT DOES NOT BURN MY EYES AT ALL. Also, it is FRAGRANCE-FREE… before I bought it I read a review complaining about smelling a citrus fragrance, that person either has some sort of brain tumor or something spilled on their bottle when it was in a warehouse because this is definitely a fragrance-free product.
Prior to trying this, I had tried another cleanser that gave me weird acne hives all over my chest (never happened to me before) and I was struggling to heal the acne and the irritation. I noticed an immediate difference when I started using the tolerance cleanser on it; the fresh redness went away, the acne started healing, and the post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation has been healing fast. So I’ve been using this on my body as well and it’s soothing and moisturizing in all the places where other things have been drying. I have mild rosacea and I hadn’t realized how irritated my skin was from the last thing I’d tried until after 5 days or so of using this my skin tone looked much more even and the stubborn PIH I have from a two-zit hormonal breakout a month ago finally looked dramatically lighter (as recently as the week before, I’d needed to cover them with high-coverage concealer).
Because this doesn’t foam much, some people might not realize how well it’s cleaning… I encourage you to judge it based on how your skin looks and feels. Since it is very emollient though, I do think it’s important to use it with a face wash scrubber or washcloth just to ensure you’re getting some mild mechanical exfoliation and clearing away skin cells that could be trapping stuff in your pores. For this reason, I do wash my face with this twice so the first wash can get off makeup/debris/oil and then the second wash can really penetrate and clean my skin.

No Scent and Gentle
Style: Tolerance Daily Foaming Facial Cleanser
I broke out in a case of Perioral Dermatitis recently and bought this product to help before I could see my doctor. Avene Tolerance facial cleanser has no scent and is very gentle on my skin. It didn’t burn when washing with this product, and even helped to slough off the dead skin around my lips. My face feels clean, not dry. I am still going to see my doc to get an RX for the inflammation, but I do believe this product helped to alleviate the dryness and tightness of my skin and lips. I’ve used other Avene products and I’m very happy with them. Even though these products are more expensive, to me they are well worth the money because they are much more gentle on the skin than any other products I’ve used. I will buy this product again just because of the fact that it’s so gentle. PS: at the time of purchase for this product, I also bought Avene’s Tolerance Control Skin Recovery Cream (you don’t need to use a lot of this one on your entire face), and Avene’s Cicalfate for lips. Between these 3 products, my lips and skin feel a lot better (however, I will still see my doctor because I have Crohn’s Disease and Perioral Dermatitis is considered an extra-intestinal side effect of Crohn’s).

Gentle everyday cleanser!
Style: Tolerance Daily Foaming Facial Cleanser
My go to nightly cleanser! Gentle yet effective. Removes makeup without leaving any residue behind. Also does not dry out my skin or cause breakouts! I would say it’s more of a cream cleanser though. It does not really foam up. It’s a decent size bottle for the price. The pump dispenser is an added plus!

So gentle and moisturizing. Great for super sensitive skin.
Style: Tolerance Daily Foaming Facial Cleanser
This is so gentle and moisturizing. Does not irritate my skin in any way. My skin is super sensitive and I have atopic dermatitis, it has been the best cleanser I’ve used to date. I was using another one from this brand and it was fine but this is the one I will continually stick with from now on. Just hope they don’t change the formula.
