De Wildeberg Coterie Cabernet Franc /Malbec is een karaktervolle gemaakte blend die precies laat zien waar Wildeberg voor staat: oorsprong boven druif, stille energie boven ruwe extractie. De handgeplukte trossen uit geselecteerde wijngaarden in Franschhoek en Paarl worden zonder kneuzing, deels hele trossen, wild vergist om het pure terroir vast te leggen. Na 20 maanden in Franse en Oostenrijks (!!) eikenhout ontstaat een wijn met een frisse, levendige neus van rood fruit, wilde pruim, rode bes, kruidige tonen van kruidnagel en steranijs. In de mond rijk maar elegant: rijpe zwarte vruchten, een sappige, bijna ziltig-hartige kern, subtiel hout en zijdezachte tannines die eindigen in een spierkrachtige maar precieze finale. Een wijn die tegelijk modern en klassiek voelt — puur, eerlijk en met een heerlijke drinkbaarheid. Perfect bij gegrild lamsvlees, kruidig stoofwerk, geroosterde groenten of Zuid-Afrikaanse braai-specialiteiten. De wijn vertelt zijn verhaal zelf.
