De MMC-20 elementen hebben een vast gemonteerde "cantilever-met-naald" deze kan dus niet los worden vervangen.Voor de MMC20E betekent dat een compleet nieuw element. Voor de overige MMC20 elementen is ook eventueel retippen prijstechnisch zinvol en mogelijk.

B&O is midden jaren negentig gestopt met het laten produceren en leveren van de vervangende MC-elementen voor de B&O platenspelers. Deze elementen hebben een vastgemonteerde naald die niet los kan worden vervangen. Omdat er op deze B&O platenspelers geen enkel ander element kan worden gemonteerd, hebben de Europese naald importeurs / distributeurs zich sterk gemaakt om een alternatief te kunnen leveren. Na veel discussie hebben B&O én het ontwerpbureau van Jacob Jensen, eindelijk toestemming gegeven, om bij de oorspronkelijke fabrikant, weer vervangingselementen voor de Beogram platenspelers te laten maken. Zodat er nu gelukkig weer elementen zijn voor deze fraaie en kwalitatief hoogwaardige platenspelers.

De serie MMC-20 bestaat uit 3 modellen: de MMC-20E met een "framed elliptical cut diamond" naaldtip onder nummer 409248, de MMC-20EN met een "elliptisch geslepen Naked Diamond naald” onder nummer 409363 en de MMC-20CL met een "ContactLine geslepen Naked Diamond” naald, (één van 's werelds top slijpingen) op een robijnen cantilever, onder nummer 409365.

Old school denim — not stretchy

Fabric used is old school denim — not the thin, stretchy stuff that pretty much everything called “denim” is today. It is 99% cotton (20% of which is recycled cotton) and 1% elastane, but I can’t feel any stretch in the fabric. It is a substantial, non-stretchy denim that gives the jacket really good structure. It has a higher end fit and look than the price would suggest. I wanted a more fitted denim jacket so ordered an XS even though according to the size chart I need a small. (I have a 34.5” bust, 28” waist at 118 pounds 5’4”.) It still buttons over a t shirt or lightweight sweater with freedom for movement/without being tight, but if I wanted a roomy fit or the ability to wear a heavier sweater or sweatshirt underneath and still be able to comfortably button it I would have needed a small. The shoulders are cut broad — I have very broad shoulders and the XS surprisingly fits my shoulders well. This jacket may not be the greatest fit for you if you have very narrow shoulders, unless you are going for an oversized look.
