Batterij Omdat de hoofdlamp op drie AAA-batterijen werkt (inbegrepen), is de lamp ideaal wanneer je geen toegang hebt tot een (werkende) stroombron. Het is dankzij de 'Dual-Fuel'-technologie ook mogelijk de hoofdlamp te gebruiken met een oplaadbare BD 1500 Li-ion accu en lader, deze zijn apart verkrijgbaar. De geïntegreerde batterijmeter geeft het resterende batterijpercentage aan. IPX8 waterdicht De Spot 400 is waterdicht (IPX8): hij is getest om minstens 1,1 meter onder water te werken voor een duur van 30 minuten. Wanneer je de lamp onderdompelt kan er water in het batterijcompartiment komen. De lamp zal dan nog steeds werken, maar moet wel volledig worden afgedroogd na gebruik.
