The young king calls for defenders to man the seven gates of the city, while the invaders’ seven champions lead the attack on the gates. Meanwhile, the famous citadel of Thebes, the Cadmea, lies in disarray, as it has fallen into disrepair since the day of Oedipus’ father, King Laius. It is as if the Fates themselves have lined everything up against the current rulers of Thebes!While the common folks prepare for war, the noble families whisper among themselves that the time for new leadership has come, and the time to rebuild the Cadmea is now! However, ensuring the glory of the holy birthplace of Dionysus, the god of Grape himself, is no easy feat, especially with enemies at the gates.
In Thebai, players assume the role of influential leaders from noble families during the tumultuous late Bronze Age. Throughout the game, players are tasked with rebuilding the Cadmea, the citadel of Thebes, while restoring the city’s exports, praying to the gods of the city, and protecting the lies of the citizens as grand heroes spill each other’s blood outside of the gates.
Thebai is a highly interactive, heavy Eurogame that reimagines dice worker placement with a fresh, tactical twist. Players co-create the pool of available actions on the main board while carefully managing their personal abilities and long-term plans.
Every turn presents tense, rewarding decisions – Use unlocked actions on your player board or deploy your dice to the shared board to promote them into powerful Councilors, securing unique scoring opportunities and triggering satisfying combos.
Inspired by Greek Mythology, Thebai plunges players into the conflict between Polynices and Eteocles. Defend the seven gates of Thebes while navigating deep strategy, positive player interaction, and thematic tension at every step.

Good Enough
This doesn't fit precisely into place. You can see in the photo that the pleats just end with no frame on the sides to seal to the body of the housing. You can wiggle the end pleat into place but there's nothing holding it there so I don't know how long it will stay there. Not a big deal for me, but if you live on a dirt road, there could be enough air bypassing the filter that you may get a dusty car sooner. Price was fine, but I won't buy this filter again.

Snapped perfectly into place. Zero play with the fit and hood hinge still just as accessible as oe grille. No trimming required. If you’re sick of snapping your grille back in every time you lift the hood, buy it!
I also have the colored grill inserts and they snap on perfectly with no play.
