Deze bijzondere klankschaal is met aandacht met de hand gehamerd en heeft een wijd uitlopende vorm. De klank die je hoort is langdurig en warm, een uitnodiging om ruimte te maken en stil te worden.

De schaal is gemaakt van koper, tin en acht edele metalen (Ag, Ni, Cd, Ru, Pd, Pt, Cr, Mn). Elk stukje metaal is zorgvuldig samengesmolten en met vakmanschap verwerkt, zodat de schaal een heldere en zuivere toon kan geven.

Gehamerde klankschalen

Het maken van een gehamerde klankschaal is een zorgvuldig en volledig handmatig proces. Eerst worden verschillende metalen gesmolten, waarbij koper en tin de basis vormen voor het brons. Daarna wordt het metaal in vormen gegoten en in dunne schijven gesneden, die stuk voor stuk met aandacht verder worden bewerkt.

Vervolgens stapelen vaklieden ongeveer vijf schijven op elkaar en verhitten deze tot ze roodgloeiend zijn. In deze staat worden de schijven één voor één met een mal in de gewenste komvorm gehamerd. Omdat het metaal snel afkoelt en broos wordt, is precies timen hierbij belangrijk. Dit hamerwerk zorgt ervoor dat de schaal zijn grove vorm krijgt.

Daarna begint het fijne werk: de schaal wordt opnieuw roodgloeiend verhit en met zorg gehamerd tot de juiste vorm en klank zijn bereikt. Tot slot worden de schalen van binnen en buiten geschuurd, gepolijst en soms met beitels bewerkt om de afwerking compleet te maken.

Let op: doordat deze klankschaal met de hand wordt gemaakt en gehamerd doorloopt het proces verschillende stadia om de juiste klank te vinden. Daardoor kan de diameter iets variëren; de aangegeven maat is een richtlijn.

Elegant and Comfortable.

When I received this shirt, it looked wayyyy bigger than it actually is, due to the way it is cut. The drawstring in the waist of the shirt is extended to the maximum when you get it, so it makes the shirt look extra wide. But naturally, when you pull the top on and cinch the waist, the whole look comes together. So make sure to order your actual size! Don't be fooled by what you see when you open the packet! There's some obvious texture from the horizontal weave in the linen, but the fabric is very soft. The inner label says this shirt is 55% linen and 45% cotton and honestly? It shows. It has a high amount of breathability without the shirt feeling flimsy. There's a slight amount of stretch, but it's not elastic. It doesn't feel cheap at all. This would feel good to wear in an indoor and outdoor environment. Paired with a camisole, I feel like you could dress this up or down. The one drawback of it being natural fibers is that it has a tendency to wrinkle. But that's honestly fine for me. I have an iron and I don't mind using it. lol 5 stars! Recommended.
