Over Weingut Prinz von Hessen

Prinz von Hessen, gelegen in Johannisberg in het kleine Duitse wijngebied van de Rheingau, is één van de belangrijkste Riesling-producenten in Duitsland. Sinds zijn oprichting is het wijndomein lid van de vereniging van wijnproducenten in de Duitse wijnbouw, de zogenaamde VDP. De uitmuntende kwaliteit van de wijnen blijkt uit de internationale en nationale erkenning. 95% Van de teelt is gewijd aan de Riesling-druif die bewijst dat er inderdaad geen andere plaats is waar deze druif beter kan groeien, dan precies op de 50e breedtegraad noord.

Vinificatie

Na de oogst worden de druiven zachtjes geperst. Om de frisse fruitaroma’s van de Rieslingmost te behouden, vindt de fermentatie plaats in temperatuur gecontroleerde roestvrijstalen vaten.
