Op het bergachtige gebied Luberon bezit Chateau Val Joanis prachtige wijngaarden. De wijngaarden liggen op kleiachtig kalksteen, wat een bijzonder karakter biedt aan de wijnen. De druiven kunnen genieten van warme dagen en koele nachten, wat zeer bevorderlijk is voor het rijpingsproces. Het geeft deze rode wijn een krachtig elegant karakter met veel fruit. Het is vaak de vraag of Luberon bij de Rhône of bij de Provence hoort. Het ligt 20 kilometer boven Aix-en-Provence maar het gebied behoort officieel tot de zuidelijke Rhône. Hoe dan ook, kan je invloeden van beiden verwachten. Gemaakt van 100 procent Viognier. Wanneer de druiven optimaal rijp zijn worden ze zorgvuldig geoogst en naar de wijnmakerij gebracht. Voordat de druiven worden geperst wordt een schilweking toegepast, zodat de smaak nog beter ontwikkeld kan worden. Vervolgens vindt de vergisting plaats in roestvrijstalen tanks bij een gecontroleerde temperatuur. De wijn rijpt tot slot op de gistcellen gedurende 8 tot 10 weken. Het resultaat mag er zijn. Een licht gele wijn met gouden reflecties. De geur is heerlijk tropisch. Bloemen en rijp fruit als nectarine, mango en abrikozen. De smaak is net zo bijzonder. Vol en romig zonder echt zwaar te zijn. De aroma’s komen ook in de smaak duidelijk naar voren en geeft een prachtige frisheid. These bowls are a staple in both my home and now adding them to Airbnb property. They’re sturdy enough to handle soups, cereals and even heavier meals without getting soggy or collapsing too fast. I love that they’re microwave safe and compostable makes cleanup easy and eco-friendlier. The 20 oz size is generous and the pack of 6 lasts a good while for sure especially when you’re hosting guests or just want a no-fuss option for meals (or for the teenage boys and their friends coming for a quick bite). You'll appreciate the convenience, and I appreciate not having to worry about dishes piling up all the time. Design and color has some fun to it over the typical white basic kind. Definitely a good value and also doesn't have that weird scent or doesn't leave that weird taste to it.
