Pacifist, vegetarisch, houdt ervan om protestliedjes te schrijven. Op zijn manier. Zijn liefde voor een goed lied is sterker dan de drang naar een radiohit. En toch groeit zijn fanschare gestaag. Die komen voor zijn muziek, niet voor dat ene liedje. En tegenwoordig dus wel volle zalen en een hit. Allemaal op eigen kracht, met zijn eigen muziek. Als een rit in een achtbaan.
