De Grande Réserve Brut is het vlaggenschip van Champagne Gosset, het oudste wijnhuis in de Champagne-regio, opgericht in 1584. Pierre Gosset begon met het maken van stille rode wijnen, maar schakelde in de 18e eeuw het huis over op mousserende wijnen. De druiven worden geselecteerd uit geleide Cru's zoals Aÿ, Bouzy en Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, met een oppervlakkige ondergrond van gemiddeld 95% op de 'échelle des Crus'.

Gosset kiest bewust voor de malolactische gisting, wat ervoor zorgt dat de frisheid en het primaire fruit optimaal behouden blijven. De wijn rijpt minimaal vier jaar in de kelder voor een ingewikkelde ontwikkeling. Met een dosering van 8 gram per liter heeft de champagne een perfect uitgebalanceerd smaakprofiel.

De Grande Réserve Brut van Champagne Gosset biedt een unieke smaakbeleving die elke liefhebber weet te verrassen. De blend bestaat uit 43% Chardonnay, 42% Pinot Noir en 15% Pinot Meunier. Deze zorgvuldig samengestelde druivenmix een elegante balans. De neus opent met fruitige aroma's van citroentaart en mirabellen, subtiel gecombineerd met frisse accenten. Bij de eerste slok ervaar je een zachte, romige textuur. De Chardonnay heeft vruchtige levendigheid toe, terwijl de Pinot Noir een stevige structuur biedt. Het resultaat? I’m updating this review and lowering to one star. Would be zero if possible. Another 2 weeks of owning this junk watch. I’m now having to wind it daily and reset the time. The only reliable feature is that it’s going to stop in the middle of each night. Piece of junk. Don’t buy. This is a beautiful watch but not very reliable timepiece. This is a self winding watch which requires you to wear it 24/7 in order to keep working. i wanted a nice watch which looked good, kept good time, was affordable and a bit nicer. I work a standard M-F, 8-5:00 workweek. I wear my watch daily for work and on RARE occasions after work or weekends if going out. My watch typically sits on the bedroom dresser after work hours and weekends. I've had this watch about 3 weeks now and have had to wind it and reset the watch three times during the time I've had it. If you are not wearing it for more than a day the watch runs down and and comes to a complete stop. You then need to manually wind and reset. This was a concern after reading other reviews. I tried to find the same watch with a quartz movement and battery for this very reason. But this particular watch only comes in a mechanical self winding version. They have ONE other model with a similar look that has a quartz movement with battery. That watch is made in China; this one is made in the USA. This is another factor that convinced me try the self winding mechanical version. Big mistake, I should have looked at other brands and manufacturers. It turns out this was a regrettable impulse buy based on looks but not practical. It is not a reliable timepiece. Lets face it a watch's function is to reliably tell the correct time; if you're not willing to manually wind it and reset the time and dates every Monday morning this is not a practical timepiece. I would NOT buy this again for this reason.
