BALK is handgemaakt van 100% gerecycled aluminium waardoor de lamp een prachtig 'wabi-sabi'-achtige textuur heeft. BALK kan aan de muur worden bevestigd als (nacht)lampje én is tegelijkertijd een mini tentoonstellingsruimte voor persoonlijke schatten. Ontworpen door Remko Verhaagen (Blooey).

Duurzaam 
Gemaakt van gerecycled aluminium van oude bewegwijzeringsborden van de Provincie Zuid-Holland. BALK is een circulair concept waarbij het aluminium en de elektrische componenten eenvoudig kunnen worden gedemonteerd om te worden hergebruikt of gerepareerd.

Sociaal 
Handgemaakt in Utrecht door re-integratie metaalwerkplaats WIJ3.0. Hier krijgen mensen met een kwetsbaarheid passende omstandigheden om zich te ontwikkelen naar persoonlijk en maatschappelijk herstel.
