Rapaura Springs is vernoemd naar de befaamde Rapaura Road, een bekend straat waar veel toonaangevende wijnhuizen zijn gevestigd. Echter is Rapaura Springs nog een van de jongste wijnhuizen in deze bekende straat in Marlborough. Pas vanaf 2005 wordt er wijn gemaakt. Het is dan ook hoogst opmerkelijk dat zij in zo’n betrekkelijk korte tijd de wereld hebben weten te veroveren met hun aantrekkelijke wijnen. met deze Sauvignon Blanc weten zij de wijnwereld weer goed op te schudden. Een uiterst opmerkelijke wijn waarin het vakmanschap flink vertegenwoordigt is. De Sauvignon Blanc druiven zijn afkomstig van speciaal geselecteerde wijngaarden gesitueerd op de lager gelegen gedeelten van Wairau Valley, waar er een uniek microklimaat heerst. De wind is iets minder aanwezig wat voor een trager groeiproces zorgt. Verfrissend, verkwikkend en ontzettend lekker. Alles lijkt te kloppen aan deze Sauvignon Blanc Reserva wijn van Rapaura Springs. Een complexe wijn die toch het predikaat allemansvriend verdient. Sappig en rijp met een uitbundig boeket. Je wordt verwend door tonen van passievrucht, tropisch fruit en braam-blad. Far from enthralling, but I did learn

This book was a disappointment. It looked like exactly what I was looking for: an overview of the history, society, and culture of Egypt from ancient to modern times that wasn't 500+ pages long. I did learn a fair bit of information, but unfortunately, the book is far from "enthralling." It reads like a high school student's book report. In addition, it sometimes just throws terms out there with no explanation, and I found myself having to consult Google. For example, it says "Since hieroglyphs were difficult to create, the Egyptians developed hieretic writing, which was a type of cursive script. Later, demotic writing was developed for ordinary documents." What is demotic writing? How is it different from hieretic? The book doesn't even provide a picture. I had to go to Wikipedia to find out what these things are. This book needs slightly more detail and an author with better writing style / storytelling abilities. That said, it still may be the best short introduction available.
