Vlag van Peru

De vlag van Peru bestaat uit drie verticale banen in rood, wit en rood. De officiële staatsvlag bevat bovendien het nationale wapen in het midden, maar de eenvoudige rood-witte versie wordt het meest civiel gebruikt.

Symboliek en achtergrond

Rood staat symbool voor het bloed dat vergoten is voor de onafhankelijkheid van Peru, terwijl wit de vrede en zuiverheid van het volk vertegenwoordigt. De vlag werd officieel aangenomen op 25 februari 1825, kort na het verkrijgen van onafhankelijkheid van Spanje. De kleurencombinatie is inmiddels diep verweven met het nationale bewustzijn en komt prominent naar voren tijdens nationale feestdagen, sportevenementen en publieke ceremonies.

Very well made Oxford casual shirts.

I've ordered 8 of these Button-down collared, long sleeved Oxford shirts in eight different colors. I'm 6', weigh 195. And have a 44" chest and fairly broad shoulders. The XL give me ample room, plenty of shirt tail to tuck in. And are well made. The shirts have a nice soft feeling to them. If you wash them with like items, and dry them likewise, taking them out before the cycle ends and hanging them. You won't have a single wrinkle. The shirts are true to color, and true to size if you follow the size guideline. These are not tailor fit, but regular fit shirts. Fabric quality seems very durable and well made. There is no smell when receiving the shirts. No more so than buying a shirt at a retail store. They do come in a vacuum bag. The shirts are a little heavier than a poplin shirt and can be worn year-round. These are great casual shirts for jeans and a sport coat, or slacks. I like the quality and the colors. I also like the thickness of the shirts. All of the shirts I've bought, black, blue, etc, have white buttons. Which makes them more of a casual shirt. But well worth the price.
