The property :The first traces of Villemaurine date back to the Moorish period when the place was named "Ville Maure". Since 2005, Château Villemaurine has belonged to the Onclin family. Managed with passion and talent by Justin Onclin, Château Villemaurine produces wines that are emblematic of the appellation, in keeping with its extraordinary terroir.
The vineyard :
Superbly located in the heart of the village of Saint-Émilion, the vineyard of Château Villemaurine covers 7 hectares of vines, 6 of which are in production. The vines are planted on clay-limestone soils resting on the famous asteriated limestone.
The vintage :
With a contrasting climatology, 2019 was marked by a mild winter, a very wet spring and a scorching summer. However, the large temperature variations between night and day favored beautiful maturities while ensuring a great freshness of the fruit. The clay-limestone soils of the vineyard prevented the vines from undergoing significant water stress. In September, the Indian summer and the few rains ensured a serene harvest, with superb berries, with thick and colorful skins.
Vinification :
For this 2019 vintage of Château Villemaurine, the vinification of the musts was carried out rapidly and brought to light colored, fruity juices, rich in tannins and of a great freshness. The malolactic fermentation was carried out in barrels.
Maturation :
80% in new barrels, 20% in one-wine barrels.
Blend :
Merlot (80%), Cabernet Franc (20%).
Tasting :
Château Villemaurine 2019 will seduce lovers of great red wines of Saint-Emilion by its intense and fruity aromatic expression. In the mouth, the wine has a firm structure, softened by smooth tannins. The race of the limestone terroir of Saint-Emilion is expressed wonderfully in a tense mouth with saline minerality. Château Villemaurine 2019 certainly promises the birth of a great vintage in 9 for the property.

Lightweight Balls
Color: A.Orange+Blue+Green
lightweight but solid. Unfortunately, I can't bring to dog park for my dog to play with as the larger dogs will destroy them. Not for dogs that chew through everything.

Too big for puppies
Color: A.Green+Orange
The balls were a bit too big for my 6 month chihuahuas:/ they are as big as a tennis ball so puppies didn’t like nor play with them
