Het TOPEAK AirBooster II vulstuk is een compact en ongelooflijk intuïtief CO2 vulstuk, met precisie vervaardigd uit CNC aluminium. Het speciale kenmerk is de kop met twee uiteinden: één om de cartridge in te slaan en op te bergen, de andere om de cartridge direct op te blazen.

Dankzij het drukregelsysteem heb je volledige controle over de luchtstroom. Hoe harder je op het ventiel drukt, hoe sneller het gas vrijkomt. Het is het perfecte hulpmiddel voor fietsers (op de weg, MTB of gravel) die een ultralichte noodoplossing willen waarmee ze een band in minder dan 3 seconden kunnen oppompen zonder de massa van een handpomp.

Wat is het verschil met het Nano-model? De AirBooster II is iets groter, waardoor hij gemakkelijker vast te pakken is tijdens het oppompen, vooral als je handschoenen draagt. De "L"-vorm maakt het ook gemakkelijker om de hand weg van het ventiel te houden.

Hoeveel banden kunnen worden opgepompt met een cartridge van 16 gram? Een 16g cartridge pompt een wegband (700x25c) op tot ongeveer 6-8 bar, of een mountainbikeband (29x2.1) tot ongeveer 2 bar. Voor brede of Plus MTB-banden wordt een cartridge van 25 g aanbevolen.

Blijft de CO2 lang in de band? Nee. CO2-moleculen zijn kleiner dan luchtmoleculen en gaan sneller door het rubber (of de preventieve vloeistof) heen. Nadat je CO2 hebt gebruikt om thuis te komen, leeg je de band en pomp je hem de volgende dag opnieuw op met een conventionele luchtpomp.
