Leunstoel Cité uit 1930 is een vroeg meesterwerk van de Franse designer en ingenieur Jean Prouvé. Hoewel hij de comfortabele en ruime fauteuil met gepoedercoate stalen sleden en lederen armleuningen aanvankelijk ontwierp voor de studentenwoningen in de Cité Universitaire in Nancy, gebruikte Prouvé hem ook in zijn eigen woonkamer.

Bij teun is de zitting en rugleuning doorlopend gestoffeerd in de mooie 'melange kleuren' Tress van Vitra, op een diepzwart frame en lederen armleuningen. Standaard uitgevoerd met een in hoogte verstelbaar nekkussen van polyurethaanschuim.

Jean Prouvé (1909-1984) was een Franse metaalbewerker, ingenieur en autodidactische architect en ontwerper, die grote invloed had op het Europese naoorlogse ontwerp. Maatschappelijk geweten en goede bereikbaarheid waren essentiële uitgangspunten voor de ontwerpen van Prouvé.
