Meursault 1er Cru ‘Les Genevrières’ – Domaine Latour-Giraud

In het hart van de Côte de Beaune ligt Meursault, samen met Puligny en Chassagne onderdeel van wat liefhebbers kennen als de ‘Côte des Blancs’ – een strook van 7 kilometer die enkele van de beste droge witte wijnen ter wereld voortbrengt. De kalkrijke mozaïek van bodems is ideaal voor de Chardonnay-druif en vormt de basis voor deze iconische Bourgognes.

‘Les Genevrières’, een van de meest gerenommeerde Premier Cru-terroirs van Meursault, ligt ten zuiden van het dorp en beslaat zo’n 16,5 hectare. De naam verwijst naar de jeneverbesstruiken (genévriers) die hier vroeger groeiden – en waarvan sommigen zeggen dat je hun aroma nog in het glas kunt terugvinden.

Domaine Latour-Giraud bezit hier maar liefst 2,5 hectare en is daarmee de grootste eigenaar van dit schitterende Premier Cru-perceel. Samen met ‘Les Perrières’ worden ‘Les Genevrières’ algemeen erkend als de absolute top van Meursault 1er Cru.

Deze wijn biedt een diepe, ronde structuur, met een romige volheid die perfect in balans is met een verfijnde elegantie en minerale finesse.
