The new Cannibal XC from Elite is a lightweight 43g bottle cage made
from bio-based plastic (43% content), which is derived from castor oil.
Our goal is to develop a more sustainable production model for our
bottle cages, based on renewable resources, so that products derived
from petroleum, such as conventional plastic, can be replaced. The
bio-based Cannibal XC uses castor oil instead of fossil raw materials
and offers the same impact and shock resistance thanks to its fiberglass
reinforcement.
The proven design includes an elastomer part that allows the bottle cage
to adapt to different bottle shapes and ensure excellent bottle grip
while riding.
