Santa Rita is een van de belangrijkste wijndomeinen van Chili. Het wijnhuis is gevestigd in een historisch pand en is opgericht in 1880 in de Maipo vallei in Chili. Ze hebben veel verschillende reeksen wijnen in hun assortiment. De productie varieert van Medalla Real op het middenniveau tot hun topreeksen, waaronder de uitstekende Floresta-lijn en verleidelijke Casa Real Cabernet, onder de deskundige hand van de Chileense topwijnmaker Sebastián Labbé en zijn team met druiven uit heel Chili. De Medella Real serie is in 1983 opzet ter ere van de voorouder van de familie van Vina Santa Rita. Jaar in jaar uit wint dit wijnhuizen talloze prijzen voor haar kwaliteitswijnen. De Sauvignon Blanc druiven worden zorgvuldig geoogst. In de wijnmakerij wordt 20 procent van de druiven 18 uur koud gemacereerd. De rest wordt meteen geperst. Deze Sauvignon Blanc is heldergeel van kleur met groene reflecties. De geur is intens en typische voor de Sauvignon Blanc druif. Doet denken aan citrusvruchten en passievrucht, met een lichte kruidige achtergrond. De smaak is geconcentreerd en heeft een aangename zuurgraad die mooi in balans staat met de frisheid en de stevige structuur. Worth every single penny.

I haven’t had this kit in my car for very long, but it has definitely come in handy. Especially when people leave their blown out tires in the middle of the interstate and you accidentally run it over because the traffic is so bad you can’t see it coming and it knocks the plastic protectant piece loose from under your car and starts making an awful sound because it’s being dragged across the ground on the interstate. I pulled over and used one of the zip ties in this kit to hold it up and it’s still holding it up quite nicely I might add. This is something definitely worth having around because you never know what may come your way in life.
