Deze ZEN Air Phono heeft een interessanter prijskaartje dan de oorspronkelijke ZEN Phono en is bedoeld voor een nog grote groep vinyl liefhebbers die op zoek zijn naar een optimale vinylbeleving.

Alle ZEN functionaliteit in een handig doosje

Ondanks de lage prijs is de ZEN Air Phono is voorzien van een omschakelbare MM en MC voorversterking. Kies voor MC wanneer het uitgangssignaal van het platenspeler element lager ligt dan 2mV, zoals hoogwaardige Moving Coil elementen. Kies voor MM wanneer jouw element een uitgangssignaal levert boven de 2mV. Dit zijn doorgaans Moving Magnet en kwalitatief goede high-output MC elementen. Omdat vinyl niet altijd helemaal vlak is en de aandrijving niet helemaal stil, heeft iFi Audio de ZEN Air Phono uitgerust met haar AI Phono Subsonic filter. Dit filter neemt wel de rumble en hinderlijke ultra-lage frequenties weg, maar gaat niet ten koste van de basweergave van het muziekalbum.

Waarom ZEN Air?

De ZEN Air is in tegenstelling tot de duurdere ZEN modellen voorzien van een kunststof behuizing, maar deelt hierbij wel het iconische ZEN-ontwerp. De Air maakt gebruik van dezelfde geselecteerde elektronische componenten als de hoger gepositioneerde ZEN Phono. Bij de ZEN Air versie is echter gekozen voor een hoogwaardig single-ended audiocircuit omdat veel muziekliefhebbers toch geen gebruik maken van de relatief dure fully balanced technologie. Met deze Air geniet je intens van jouw vinylcollectie en betaal je nooit te veel voor technologie die je toch niet gebruikt. Helemaal ZEN toch?
