Vitamine D is een vetoplosbare vitamine die onder invloed van zonlicht wordt aangemaakt in de huid. Zink is een spoorelement dat onderdeel is van verschillende enzymen welke belangrijk zijn voor de stofwisseling. 

Vitamine D is belangrijk voor de opname van calcium en fosfor welke voor tal van biologische processen in het lichaam noodzakelijk zijn en zorgt tegelijkertijd voor sterke soepele spieren en sterke botten en tanden. Vitamine D helpt tevens het immuunsysteem en ondersteunt de weerstand van het lichaam.

Zink helpt bij het celdelingproces ondersteunt de normale werking van het immuunsysteem en is belangrijk voor sterke botten.
