Het wijnhuis RedHeads is opgericht door een aantal jonge wijnmakers, die hun eigen domeinen bezitten in McLaren Vale, Australië. Ze zijn samen op zoek gegaan naar de beste percelen van het land om hoge kwaliteitswijnen te maken. Het wijnhuis is gevestigd in de stad Tanuda in Barosso Valley, een wijnregio in het zuiden van Australië. Hier begon het ooit met een oude schuur, een voormalig restaurant met de naam RedHeads. Dit was de plek waar een aantal jonge wijnmakers werken aan hun gezamenlijke missie: losraken van de grote wijncorporaties en zelf mooie, creatieve wijnen maken, waarbij de focus ligt op kwaliteit. In tegenstelling tot de cowboy op het etiket die alles verloor; zijn baan, zijn huis en zijn vriendin, vond RedHeads prachtige Cabernet Sauvignon wijnstokken waarmee ze deze Whip Hand konden maken. Met dit verhaal wil RedHeads duidelijk maken dat het soms een bijzonder moeilijke zoektocht kan zijn naar de allerbeste wijnstokken. De zoektocht van RedHeads leidde in ieder geval naar de glorieuze wijnstok. Precies wat ze nodig hadden om deze heerlijke Cabernet Sauvignon te maken.Handmatige oogst voor RedHeads Whip Hand Cabernet Sauvignon
Voor deze Whip Hand Cabernet Sauvignon worden de druiven met de hand geoogst. Tros voor tros wordt de selectie toegepast want alleen het beste sap mag in de fles terecht komen, nou dat is wel gelukt. Maar voordat het de fles in gaat wordt deze rode wijn maar liefst twaalf maanden gelagerd op eiken houten vaten in de kelders van RedHeads. In de geur intense braam, cassis en pruim met wat kruiden. De smaak is een plaatje, fluweel zacht met veel tonen van zwarte bes, specerijen, geroosterde vanille en natuurlijk eiken hout. Achter op de tong proefde we de mooie eigenschappen van de Cabernet Sauvignon namelijk cassis fruit, pruim en verse bramen.Shipping Notes

Diverse, hilarious, and fun

This was soooo fun, and what it lacked in patchy storytelling made up for in its incredible art and lovable characters. The main character is latina, fat, and queer, the love interest is black and queer (yes, it's f/f romance!), and the prominent side character is non-binary, queer, and literally a mix of kenji and kuzco from the emporer's new groove (they were SO sweet but funny and definitely my favorite part of the book). Not to mention all of these characters are mythological creatures!
I loved reading the characters' interactions because the banter was so cute and fun, both platonic and romanticly. The action began to get a bit confusing toward the end and I wish it was explained better what was happening, but I loved the world building and the characters' relationships with each other so I'm definitely continuing this series.

It's cute book. the art is great and really helps to set the scene of this magical world. I took issue with the characters and the narrative. The main character is a werewolf who is very self conscious about it but it's never really clear since apparently, there are not only plenty of werewolves but also people who can shift into other animals. Her best friend is a centaur who I found a little grating with his "lol XD so random" personality. I didn't find much fault with the girlfriend character but I didn't understand their relationship. the main character starts the book having had one date with her girlfriend they seem to have some issues (over what I thought was very minor things) and decide at the end of the book to go to couple's therapy to solve them but like, they weren't together for that. I assume maybe a month has passed, just break up. I just didn't understand that.
The narrative itself didn't seem tight. One character has cryptic visions that didn't really seem to pan out or really have the gravity she seemed to put to them. there is a meta narrative involving a book the main character likes and the events in that book mirror the events in the comic but I didn't really see it that strongly and it seemed to have little use. The main conflict seems to be solved very quickly and with little fanfare.
All in all, it's not a bad book. i just found it a bit weak. It's not amazing, nor above average. But it's also not garbage or terrible. It's won't have the greatest of appeal but I'm not upset I bought it and it's not a waste of time. However, I wouldn't read any additional work of this series.

I really hope there will be more of this comic coming soon. It was so well thought out. The colors were incredible. The fluidity of every character was great. Enjoyed this so very much.
