De TTE6XX is de nieuwste hybride performance-upgrade van TheTurboEngineers, ontwikkeld voor de BMW B58 3.0 zescilinder turbomotor zoals toegepast in de Toyota Supra A90. Deze turbo is ontworpen om supersnelle spool en respons te combineren met een duidelijk hoger vermogenspotentieel, terwijl de montage volledig plug & play blijft.

De TTE6XX wordt geleverd inclusief een TTE high-flow turbo-inlaat, uitgevoerd als OEM-vervanging met behoud van de originele elektrische verwarming en ontluchtingsaansluitingen. Hierdoor past de upgrade zonder aanpassingen en blijft OEM-functionaliteit behouden.

Voor deze upgrade wordt het originele compressorwiel vervangen door een veel groter TTE billet compressorwiel met extended tip technologie. De compressorbehuizing wordt CNC-bewerkt naar optimale toleranties voor maximale efficiëntie. Aan de turbinezijde wordt een grotere 9-bladige high-flow turbine gemonteerd, die de uitlaatgastemperaturen verlaagt en het vermogenspotentieel verhoogt, terwijl de lage massa zorgt voor een uitstekende boostrespons.

Het resultaat is een toonaangevende hybride turbo die 600+ pk mogelijk maakt met behoud van rijbaarheid en betrouwbaarheid.

Balancering

Het nauwkeurig balanceren van de turbo is essentieel voor duurzaamheid en prestaties. Alle TTE-turbochargers worden eerst low-speed in meerdere vlakken uitgebalanceerd tot 2800 RPM. Daarna wordt de complete CHRA high-speed VSR-gebalanceerd tot 250.000 RPM op TTE’s in-house VSR-machine. Elke turbo wordt geleverd met een genummerd balans-testresultaatdocument.

Holes in brackets are not spaced for studs!

So the quality of this not great, but good enough and they look nice enough on the wall. However, the bracket holes are not spaced at 16" intervals. WTF? I'm not sure who designed this thing. The molly plugs that came with it look OK, but to play it safe I used a cobalt steel drill bit and made my own holes in the bracket. Easy enough with some wd40. My other pick with this is that the screws to anchor the shelf to the bracket are black and and very obvious... they should have supplied some kind of cap.

Good looking shelves and easy install - skip the included drywall anchors

I installed these shelves in a bedroom to get things off my dresser and some decor. Once mounted they look really nice. The black finish looks clean and modern and they blend in well with the room. Installation was pretty straightforward. The metal bracket mounts to the wall first and then the shelf slides over the bracket. As long as you take your time lining things up it’s a simple project. One thing I strongly recommend is not using the white plastic self-drilling drywall anchors that come with the kit. I’ve used that style before on other projects and they tend to strip out easily and leave larger holes in drywall. I used better anchors instead and the shelves mounted much more securely. The rest of the hardware worked fine and once installed the shelves feel solid and hold items well. Pros - Clean modern look - Easy installation - Feels solid once mounted - Good size for books or decor Cons - The small level included isn’t very accurate — use your own level - One of the metal brackets was slightly bent out of the box but straightened out easily Helpful tip: Use your own level and better drywall anchors if you have them. It makes installation easier and the shelves will mount much more securely. Final thoughts: For the price these are nice looking floating shelves that install easily and work well for light storage and decor.
