De Beaumont urn vindt haar inspiratie uit Scandinavisch design. Strakke en eenvoudige vormen, geïnspireerd door de natuur. Een simpel, maar stijlvol en mooi ontwerp zonder te veel details. Dit geeft de Beaumont een rustige uitstraling en is daarmee toepasbaar in ieder interieur.
 
De urn is gemaakt uit roestvaststaal. Door gebruik te maken van een 304 legering is het RVS niet alleen goed vormbaar, maar ook erg sterk. De Beaumont urn is, buiten de deksel, uit eenzelfde RVS plaat gevormd. Naast een esthetisch oogpunt behoudt de urn daarmee tevens haar stevigheid.
 
Doordat de Beaumont urn gemaakt is uit een RVS 304 legering is deze zeer geschikt om buiten te plaatsen. Wel dient er rekening gehouden te worden met het feit dat alles wat aan de natuur wordt toevertrouwd na geruime tijd zijn vergankelijkheid zal vertonen. Daarom is het advies om de urn niet buiten in de buurt van zeewater of in een kustgebied te plaatsen, omdat er altijd een kans op corrosievorming bestaat.

The Babylonian Empire and the History of Mesopotamia

This is a very, very good book on the History of Mesopotamia. The people of Babylon came up with quadratic equations and trigonometry. They kept a log of the position of the planets, of meteor showers, sun rise and sun set, solar and lunar eclipse. The first ruler of Babylon, Hammurabi, came up with "Hammurabi's Law Code" which was written on a stelae and placed where all could read it. The Babylonian doctors wrote the first book on medicine. Back then doctors did not have hospitals to treat patients, patients were either treated at home or they would go to a clinic where doctors could treat them and several other patients overnight. The Babylonians created a city that became a pilgrimage destination with many temples. The architecture of the famed "hanging gardens" and several other "world wonders" were all located in Babylon, which aided in making the city a place worth travelling to. So many first happened in Babylon that the best way to find all of it out is by reading the book, which I highly recomend, you will not be disappointed.
