It features four independent bi‑directional 12G‑SDI Micro BNC connections that can be configured for single, dual or quad‑link workflows across SD, HD, Ultra HD, 4K DCI, 8K and 8K DCI formats, making it a versatile backbone for demanding productions.
The card supports 8‑, 10‑ and 12‑bit processing, including pristine 12‑bit RGB 4:4:4 up to 8Kp30 and 8/10‑bit YUV 4:2:2 across all resolutions. With full Rec. 2020, Rec. 709 and Rec. 601 color space compatibility, it’s engineered for modern HDR mastering, wide‑gamut workflows and precision‑critical color grading. Hardware‑based real‑time color space conversion ensures accurate monitoring without additional system load.
High‑frame‑rate performance enables up to 120 fps at 1080p and 4K, and up to 60 fps at 8K, ideal for fast‑action content, slow‑motion pipelines and immersive visuals. The SDI interface supports stereoscopic 3D with dual‑stream capture and playback. HDR workflows are fully supported with HLG, PQ and static metadata handling to maintain consistency from acquisition to final delivery.
With up to 64 channels of embedded audio in 4K/8K and 16 channels in SD/HD/2K, the card integrates seamlessly into immersive sound pipelines. A reference input for Tri‑Sync or Black Burst allows for frame‑accurate synchronization in multi‑device environments. Its multi‑rate SDI connections automatically adapt between SD through 8K signals, ensuring broad compatibility.
DeckLink 8K Pro Mini works flawlessly with industry‑standard software such as DaVinci Resolve, Fusion, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Avid Media Composer, Final Cut Pro and Pro Tools, along with live‑production applications like OBS Studio, vMix and Wirecast. Included tools such as Media Express, Desktop Video Utility and Disk Speed Test streamline capture, configuration and performance verification.
Engineered for reliability and dense multi‑card setups, it typically consumes only 18 W and includes a 3‑year manufacturer’s warranty, making it a compact yet powerful choice for modern post‑production, broadcast and digital cinema workflows.
