De Unic Chardonnay is  voor Clos Montblanc een groot succesverhaal! De wijn vergist na de handmatige oogst op eikenhouten vaten, waar de wijn na fermentatie nog 4 maanden op doorrijpt. Het resultaat is een heerlijke wijn met veel geel fruit en romigheid.

In het hart van Catalonië ligt ten westen van Barcelona de voor het grote publiek onbekende wijnstreek DO Conca de Barbera. De streek ontleent zijn classificatie aan het gebruik van de lokale druif Trepat. Voortrekker voor de wijnstreek en tevens het beroemdste wijnhuis is Clos Montblanc. Dit wijnproject werd in 1988 gestart door de Carbonell Figueras familie en is vernoemd naar de nabijgelegen historische vestingstad Montblanc. Naast de lokale druiven Trepat, Ull de Llebre ( Tempranillo ) en Garnacha werkt het team onder leiding van oenoloog Josep Valdrí ook met internationale variëteiten als Chardonnay, Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc en Merlot. Het gamma van Clos Montblanc beslaat dan ook traditionele wijnen met lokale druivenrassen tot meer internationaal gemaakte wijnen, maar wel altijd binnen de traditionele filosofie van het wijnhuis. Naast het aanbod van stille witte en rode wijnen produceert men ook een serie prachtige Cava's.
