Het wijnhuis Costers del Sio werd opgericht in 1992 en vanaf de oogst van 1998 zijn de wijnen jaar op jaar subliem te noemen. Zij is gevestigd in Balaguer, een kleine, pittoreske gemeente in Catalonië. Deze Noord-Spaanse provincie staat vooral bekend vanwege de productie van de Cava wijnen. Echter komen er steeds meer kwaliteitswijnen, waaronder deze La Boscana Costers del Sio. De druiven van chardonnay en Viognier worden in de vroege ochtend geoogst. Op deze manier behoudt La Boscana Costers del Sio voldoende frisheid, wat enorm belangrijk is. Daarnaast worden de druiven apart vergist.
