Most waterproof mattress pads are either crinkly vinyl or thin polyester with no real fluid barrier. This one is different: three layers of engineered protection — soft absorbent polyester felt on top, a silent vinyl core that stops fluids before they reach the mattress, and soft polyester felt below. Designed for hospitals, hotels, and care facilities where laundering happens daily and guests still need to sleep comfortably.

3-Ply Construction — What's Actually Inside

Most pads claim waterproof protection. Here's how the three layers work together to actually deliver it:

Layer Construction — Cross Section
1
Top Layer — 100% Polyester Felt Soft, absorbent surface layer that wicks moisture away from the guest contact point. Feels like a traditional mattress pad — not crinkly, not plasticky.
2
Core — Silent Vinyl Waterproof Barrier The engineered core that stops fluids. The improved "silent" formulation significantly reduces the crinkling noise of standard vinyl barriers — protecting the mattress without disrupting sleep.
3
Bottom Layer — 100% Polyester Felt Second absorbent layer that adds durability, cushions the vinyl core during laundering, and contributes to the overall quilted structure that holds the pad together through hundreds of wash cycles.

Engineered for High-Turnover Environments

  • Silent Vinyl Core. The improved internal vinyl layer is engineered to minimize crinkling — a critical detail in hospitality settings where guest reviews mention noise. Protects without announcing itself.
  • Electronically Quilted Construction. All three layers are electronically quilted together with reinforced whipstitched edges. The quilting prevents layer separation and bunching through repeated industrial laundering cycles.
  • Antimicrobial Treatment. Surface-treated to inhibit the growth of odor-causing mold, mildew, and fungi — reducing odor between launderings in high-occupancy settings.
  • Commercial Laundering Durability. Engineered for repeated institutional washing. Unlike consumer-grade pads that delaminate after a few cycles, this pad is built to maintain waterproof barrier integrity through the demands of commercial laundry operations.
  • Two Fit Options. Available in Anchor Band or Fitted styles (16" stretch knit skirt) — choose based on your mattress depth and operational preference. See fit guide below.
  • 9 Sizes Available. From Hospital Twin (36"×75") through California King (72"×84") — including Hospital Long Twin and specialty sizes for institutional bedding programs.
  • Sold in Case Packs of 6. Streamlined for facility procurement — consistent quantities that align with standard par count systems in hospitality and healthcare.

Anchor Band vs. Fitted: Which Style is Right?

Both styles provide identical 3-ply waterproof protection. The difference is how they attach to the mattress.

Anchor Band Style

2" Elastic Anchor Band

A 2" elastic band runs around the perimeter and tucks under the mattress corners. Faster to change during room turnover — no need to lift the full mattress. Ideal for high-turn hospitality and housekeeping efficiency.

✓ Best for: Hotels, motels, vacation rentals, high-turnover rooms
Fitted Style — 16" Skirt

Stretch Polyester Knit Skirt

A deep 16" stretch knit skirt wraps fully around the mattress sides. More secure on thick mattresses or in settings where the pad must stay in place under heavy use — healthcare, institutional housing, long-term care.

✓ Best for: Healthcare, assisted living, institutional housing, thick mattresses
💡 Selection Tip

If you're unsure which style to order, anchor band is the more versatile choice for most hospitality environments. For mattresses over 12" deep or settings requiring maximum pad security (pediatric, bariatric, memory care), choose the fitted 16" skirt style.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does 3-ply construction protect the mattress?

The 3-ply design works in layers. The top polyester felt layer absorbs moisture at the surface before it can spread. The vinyl core stops any fluid that penetrates the felt from reaching the mattress. The bottom felt layer adds structural durability and cushions the vinyl during laundering. Together, the three layers provide better protection than single-layer pads and survive far more wash cycles without delamination.

Will this mattress pad affect guest comfort?

The improved "silent" vinyl core is specifically engineered to minimize the crinkling noise associated with traditional waterproof pads. Guests sleeping on this pad with a fitted sheet on top typically do not notice any difference from an unprotected mattress. The polyester felt surface layers also provide a soft, absorbent feel rather than the cold, slick surface of vinyl-only pads.

Is this pad suitable for healthcare and assisted living?

Yes — and it's widely used in exactly these settings. The Hospital Twin (36" × 75") and Hospital Long Twin (36" × 80") sizes fit standard institutional beds. The fitted 16" skirt style provides more secure coverage for patients who move frequently during the night. The antimicrobial treatment helps manage odor between laundering cycles, which is particularly important in high-occupancy care environments.

One of our verified buyers purchased this pad for her mother's assisted living bed specifically — and noted it "fit her bed perfectly."

What is the difference between anchor band and fitted styles?

The anchor band style uses a 2" elastic band that tucks under the mattress corners — similar to a fitted sheet. It's faster to change during room turnover and works well on mattresses up to approximately 12" deep. The fitted style features a full 16" stretch polyester knit skirt that wraps around the entire mattress depth. It's more secure on thicker mattresses and in settings where the pad must stay firmly in place under active use.

For most hotel and hospitality environments, anchor band is the preferred choice for housekeeping efficiency. For healthcare, assisted living, and institutional housing, the fitted style is typically recommended.

How do I launder commercial mattress pads?

These pads are engineered for commercial machine washing. Use warm water and a standard commercial detergent cycle. Tumble dry on medium heat. Do not use bleach on the pad surface — bleach can degrade the antimicrobial treatment and accelerate vinyl core breakdown over time. The electronically quilted construction and reinforced whipstitched edges are specifically designed to maintain integrity through repeated high-frequency laundering cycles.

Are these available for government or GSA procurement?

Yes. Bargoose offers domestic manufacturing and GSA-eligible options across its commercial line. Custom sizing and volume pricing are available for government facilities, military installations, VA hospitals, and federal housing programs. Contact the Bargoose commercial team at Request a Quote or call (516) 255-1736.

What is the minimum order quantity?

These pads are sold in case packs of 6 units for commercial accounts. Individual units may be available for sample evaluation — contact our commercial team to discuss your program requirements, volume pricing, and par count recommendations for your facility.

Color: A-Silver
Yessss! Real espresso maker! Excellent brewing capacity. Easy to use. Made with great quality material. The machine comes with all the pamphlets & easy to read instructions which say to heat twice for extra hot coffee, but honestly the coffee comes out VERY hot & tasty without double-heating. Also comes carefully packaged to prevent damage during delivery. Great value for your money!

Plastic, but Well Performing Machine
Color: A-Silver
My household has been using the Casabrewa 5418 PRO multiple times a day for over a month now. It's function and directions are excellent. With some experimenting, it makes acceptable and delicious espresso. This is an entry model machine that does exactly what you want it to. It heats fast and produces espresso fast. However, for the price point the amount of plastic is a bit disappointing. The machine has the appearance of being stainless steel while being constructed almost entirely of plastic. If you want an entry level espresso machine and you don't mind the plastic, this is an excellent option.

Who cares if its plastic... let's not be silly
Color: A-Silver
Why are people so obsessed with metal housing? Metal literally serves no purpose. It's just a cover. It won't make a better coffee with metal housing nor will it last longer. I personally don't care what it "feels" like to touch it, I don't even notice it. I make coffee with it, it's a tool. I don't touch it to "feel how nice it is". That's just weird. Anyway, what a great machine. To me instant heating is worth all the missing features of fancier machines combined. I've had it for several months now, and I have it dialed in. I make up to 5-6 lattes a day and I've made about a 1000 by now. Still working great. Not interested in upgrading.

Great Budget Espresso Machine That Performs Better Than Others Costing Much More
Color: A-Silver
I’ve been using the Casabrews 5418 Pro for a few months now and it’s been a solid addition to my kitchen. It looks sleek and feels well‑built for the price, and it heats up extremely fast — reaching brewing temperature in just a few seconds thanks to its FlashHeat™ system. The 20‑bar pump and built‑in pressure gauge give you good feedback while pulling shots, and the steam wand produces nicely textured milk for lattes and cappuccinos. The removable water tank is a nice touch and makes refilling easy. While it’s not perfect — the included portafilter and tamper feel a budget‑oriented and the pressurized baskets don’t deliver espresso as rich as you’d get from higher‑end machines — it’s a great performer for beginners or casual espresso drinkers. Upgrade the portafilter basket and tamper but for a more premium experience especially if using it daily. That said, the included accessories are perfectly fine for a casual user. Overall, this machine offers excellent value for the price. If you want a compact, easy‑to‑use espresso maker that consistently produces enjoyable drinks (especially milk‑based ones), this is a great choice. I am more than pleased with my purchase and you will be too. One thing that I learned and it’s the most significant piece of information I will pass along. You don’t need an espresso dark roast coffee for espresso. It’s your preferred roast, grind, and freshness that make the difference. Try your favorite roast in an espresso grind and enjoy!
