The eight volumes in this boxset reveal the manifold creative talents of René Lalique, an exceptional artist, Art Nouveau jeweler, and later Art Deco glassmaker, as well as those of his successors and the many people who perpetuate these skills in the present day. Illustrating previously unpublished works, Lalique retraces the history of Lalique and its founding family. For Lalique is a famous name: René, 'the inventor of the modern jewel', as Emile Gallé described him at the close of the nineteenth century. After working from home as a designer for large firms, Lalique opened his own workshop, where he created objects in the round using previously neglected materials, such as horn, semi-precious stones, enamel, and glass. These already featured the themes that would recur throughout his career: Female, Flora and Fauna, with the addition of a fourth 'F', Form, with the advent of Art Deco. From a very young age René Lalique enjoyed drawing, observing nature closely and making sketches. Although his most detailed works were undoubtedly his jewelry designs, drawing was to remain an indispensable prerequisite to his creations. Lalique found an outlet for his creative genius in all sorts of everyday objects, including lamps, paperweights and tableware, magnifying their importance and rendering them wholly exceptional today. René Lalique also turned his hand to decoration and the creation of monumental works. Whether designing the stained glass for a chapel, an imposing fountain for the International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts held in Paris in 1925, or objects for railway trains or ocean liners, he was always keen to create with glass and to play with light.Shipping Notes

Great construction but poor mounting hardware
They are great once your put them in but mounting them was a huge pain.
The included dry wall anchors are of really bad quality and rips up a huge opening if you have to undo them for whatever reason.
But the more infuriating thing is the screws they come with, which is not quite Philips 2 and easily slips from most standard driver bits. It is very easy to strip these if you are not careful. The small amount of space at the corner almost doesn't allow for easy drill access so you might have to get creative.
Overall good product, but I will highly recommend buying your own set of wall anchors and screws

Sturdy as heck But NOT easy to install
Because of the angles to install the screws, I'm definitely going to have to say NOT easy to install. Simple in concept; maybe if you have paper-thin walls. But if you don't it is a pain to screw those in with the tools provided. On the upside, they do come with a mini leveler. But it's just not a practical way of screwing in the shelf unless you are prepared to spend a surprising amount of time doing it. The shelves themselves are sturdy but that should be expected since it's basically a sheet of metal.

Perfect Nightstand Organizer and Looks Amazing
Color: Dark Brown
This valet tray is exactly what I was looking for. The wood looks great and feels sturdy, and it keeps all my everyday items in one place. I use it for my keys, wallet, watch, and phone, and my nightstand looks much neater now. Its great to keep all the thing you need when leaving the house in one place.
It’s the perfect size, well made, and looks nice enough to leave out on display. Would definitely recommend this if you want an easy way to keep your essential items organized or need a solid gift idea.
