Tesseron Cognac Lot 90 Ovation is a rich, fruit-driven Cognac built around a blend of Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, and Fin Bois eaux-de-vie, aged for well over a decade in Limousin oak. Compared to the more oxidative, rancio-heavy style of older Tesseron bottlings, Lot 90 leans fresher and more vibrant while still carrying the depth and polish the house is known for.

The nose opens with baked apricot, orange marmalade, toasted almond, honey, vanilla bean, and candied citrus peel, along with subtle notes of tobacco and baking spice. On the palate, it’s silky and rounded with layers of dried fruit, caramelized orchard fruit, cocoa, and gentle oak spice. There’s plenty of richness, but the texture stays elegant and lifted rather than heavy.

Tesseron ages their Cognacs in old oak barrels with a relatively restrained wood influence, allowing the fruit and mature spirit character to stay front and center. Lot 90 is often considered one of the best entry points into older-style luxury Cognac because it balances maturity and accessibility so well.
