Product Description
Start isokinetic sampling (smoke-stack testing) using US EPA Method 5i (Low Level Particulate Matter) upon unpacking. This sampling method is effective to measure particulate matter of 50 mg or less, from a flue gas emitted by a stationary sources of air pollution.
This set can be used in either the Standard Configuration or Flexible Configuration sampling train:
- Aer Sampling’s Standard Configuration is where the full-length heating box—MKORTM Heater Box (Hot Box), the Box Extender (Riser Box) and the Impinger Box (Cold Box) is hung onto a monorail and move in or out the porthole of the chimney/stack, while traversing the smoke-stack.
- Aer Sampling’s Flexible Configuration is when the Box Extender (Riser Box) is removed from the MKORTM Heater Box (Hot Box) to reduce the weight and size of the Hot Box. The Impinger Box (Cold Box) is placed on the ground or smoke-stack platform separately from the sampling train that is traversing the smoke-stack. No longer need to move this Cold Box when moving in and out of the sampling porthole.
Requires the USEPA Method 5 Basic Set (which uses Aer Sampling’s Standard Configuration) to use this add-on set.
To use Aer Sampling’s Flexible Configuration, please purchase the USEPA Method 5 Flexible (Add-on) Set.
