This is the pinnacle of high performance surfing. The Apex takes itβs rocker and foil from our step up, the Supermodel and gears these curves towards powerful and explosive surfing in waves of the 3-8ft range.
This shape was always about distributing volume in all the right places and by refining the tail of the Apex for ultimate control and maneuverability weβve concentrated a generous amount of foam under the front foot to create a solid and forgiving sweet spot. This, combined with single to double concave results in a board thatβs drivey off the front foot, while being sensitive enough to draw lines like never before.
The outline features a medium sized tail area, allowing the board to flow through dead sections, coupled with less area between the feet to allow more responsive surfing for lightweight surfers with limited strength.
The Apex also features a full, but low rail that keeps foam hidden in the shape without sacrificing performance. It is generally designed to work best in waves with a bit of push but many of our team riders have been using the Apex as their performance all rounder to great effect.
