Tsuneyuki was born in 1769 and died in 1828. He was a student of Ichinomiya Nagatsune. Born in Kii province and later moved to Osaka. His son was Yabu Tsuneyo. He often signed his works with reference to Naniwa castle is Osaka. This one is signed "Resident of Naniwa", there are others signed "made at the golden castle of Naniwa" and "The waves of longevity reach the top of

He often signed his works with reference to Naniwa castle is Osaka. There is an Naniwa ward in Osaka. However because of the other inscriptions It seems he was referring to the castle. It is worth noting that Naniwa castle did not exist in edo period, it was destroyed in 686. Only the memory of old palace remained. The ruins were excavated in 1954.ย
