JackAlexandra has never really known her grandfather. Jack has had Alzheimers since he was in his fifties and so she has never interacted with him without the barriers of this disease. He is still alive and has been in a home for many years, during which time Alexandra has not gone to visit him. After spending time going through some of his affects, Alexandra wanted to know more about her last living grandparent. Did they have had anything in common? Her

After spending time going through some of his affects, Alexandra wanted to know more about her last living grandparent. Did they have had anything in common? Her work is a collection of conversations between her father, uncle, and herself that work together to reassemble the personality of a man who has lost himself. Conducting this project served as an opportunity for Alexandra to spend more time talking with and learning more about close family members. It gave her the chance to explore real and remembered connections with her and her family members. It allowed her to seek confirmation of being related and being connected.
