With Majik's Back Into Your Heart, Melodies International dug deep into the back catalogue of Hi Records, legendary soul label from Memphis founded in the 1950s. Originally signed as a recording artist, Willie Mitchell took the reigns of the label and guided it through it's most successful period in the 1970s, notably producing a string of studio recordings for Al Green, Syl Johnson and OV Wright among other eminent soul musicians of the time. Whilst the Hi Records catalogue shifted hands multiple times since the late 1970s, it was mainly exploited as a means to reissue recordings from Al Green and other high profile Hi Records artists (notably by Motown) while the label's more obscure back catalogue remained largely untouched. Years later, a few lesser known one offs from the label's vaults holding the distinctive raw Hi Records production sound and a circling hypnotic quality that makes them potential successful records for modern day dance floors have been getting a second life with record collectors, DJs and on dance floors worldwide. As such, recordings such as Africano's Open Your Hearts have become You're A Melody classics for some years now and we are glad to bring you one more reissue which in our hearts hold at least the same level of quality and potential as the former. With Back Into Your Heart, Majik pull through with a strong up-tempo disco tune that embodies Mitchell's sound as well as a level of modernity that might explain why it has remained largely unnoticed up until now. Licensed and re-mastered, MEL010 is presented in it's original 7" format and available digitally, with a folded 14"x14" poster designed by Mafalda.

Rustic Wall Shelves That Just Work

I bought these six floating shelves to add some storage and a cohesive look to a few walls around the house. The set has a rustic real wood vibe with an industrial edge, and the black finish keeps things feeling clean and understated. It turned out to be a practical way to create space without committing to a bulky cabinet, and I appreciated having multiple pieces to arrange in different rooms.
Installation was straightforward. The package includes 12 brackets, wall anchors and screws, plus clear directions, so I could get them up without much hassle. It takes about eight minutes to mount each shelf, and the hardware feels solid. The shelves can hold around 20 pounds each, which is plenty for everyday items like books, a plant, an alarm clock, or framed photos.
In use, the look is exactly what I wanted: sturdy, simple, and able to blend with existing decor across the bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and living room. The real wood surface and the exposed metal brackets give a cohesive, rustic vibe that elevates plain walls and makes it easy to rotate items in and out.
One small note is that the boards are 17 inches long and about an inch thick, so planning spacing and wall space matters a bit. The brackets being visible is part of the look, not a flaw, but it means accurate mounting is important. Overall I am very pleased with the set and it earns a solid five stars.

Not a bad buy

Very Light weight, they look great though. Fairly easy to put together. Came with all parts Iโll be it scattered and the screws donโt look sturdy but I wonโt be using the ones that it came with. Overall, fair price, quality is fair as well.

These are incredible for the price! Feel & look like wood. Easy-ish to install - just take your time, measure twice & use a level. Very sturdy! Great hardware & instructions. Now my daughter wants some for her apt.
