Oxford Diecast Rolls Royce Phantom V James Young Navy_Silver - 1:43 ScThe Rolls Royce Phantom V in real life was manufactured between 1959 and 1968, during which time only 516 were produced. Its ultra elegance and exclusivity made it a favourite with Royalty, the rich and famous and several can be seen in motor museums across the world. Two were used for state occasions by our present Queen, Elizabeth II; one on view on board the Royal Yacht Britannia and the other in Her Majesty's royal motor museum at Sandringham.

Its ultra elegance and exclusivity made it a favourite with Royalty, the rich and famous and several can be seen in motor museums across the world. Two were used for state occasions by our present Queen, Elizabeth II; one on view on board the Royal Yacht Britannia and the other in Her Majesty's royal motor museum at Sandringham. Other owners included Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, King Olav V of Norway and Beatle John Lennon.
Our model represents the four-door saloon with a body designed by the coachbuilder James Young. Built by Rolls-Royce Limited and with engine and chassis assembled in Crewe, the car featured a V8 engine and 4-speed automatic gear box. From 1963, modifications included new front wings and quad headlights. Our model registered EBY 148B dates from 1964 and features the new headlights.
Decorated in an elegant navy blue and silver, the interior seating is pale blue with darker blue flooring. The interior fittings including dashboard, door cappings and seat divider are finished in brown. Exterior trim is all finished in silver and the wheel rims have a navy blue band matching the body colour. A final flourish sees the RR emblem at the top of the radiator and the most famous motor mascot in the world 'the Spirit of Ecstasy' flying on the front of the bonnet.
