It was a story about a sense of family, purpose, character, leadership and determination, pursuing a dream, believing in possibility, personal responsibility, struggle, respect, love, equality, unity, and service. The story of Little Deng focuses on the characteristics of the culture, and customs of Dinka people from which the story originated.
