The tool set includes fixtures to service both the new-style and old-style trailing arm bushings. The old-style is a conventional bushing with a one-piece outer shell. The new-style bushings have a two-piece outer shell and are being supplied by BMW and aftermarket channels as universal replacements.
This kit is the first to feature ball bearing thrust plates on all operations...this reduces the amount of force required and prolongs tool life.
The ability to service these bushings on-the-car saves hours of labor and avoids significant disassembly of suspension and driveline components.
