The Blackmagic Design Spares - Pocket Cinema Camera 6K (PCC6K) - Service Kit is a maintenance package designed for the original, non-tilting screen version of the Pocket 6K. Since this camera is often used in rigged environments (cages, gimbals, and drones), certain external parts are prone to stripping, snapping, or going missing.

This kit provides the "sacrificial" parts needed to keep the camera body sealed and structurally sound.

What is Included in the Kit?

Unlike the "Pro" kit, which includes ND seals and tilting hinges, the standard 6K kit focuses on the core chassis and ports:

  • Rubber Port Cover Set: A full replacement for the left-side interface flaps (Full-size HDMI, USB-C, 2-pin Power, Mini XLR, and 3.5mm Jacks).

  • Battery Door Assembly: The LP-E6 battery door, including the metal hinge pin and the tension spring.

  • Complete Screw Set: All external Torx and Philips screws for the carbon fiber polycarbonate body. These include the specialized "stepped" screws used for the chassis seams.

  • 1/4"-20 Threaded Inserts: Replacement brass/steel bushings for the top and bottom mounting points.

  • Bottom Cover Gasket: The environmental seal that sits between the main body and the bottom plate.

When to Use This Kit

  • Environmental Protection: If your port covers have torn off, the internal Main PCB is vulnerable to humidity and dust. Replacing these is the most effective way to prevent long-term corrosion.

  • Rigging Damage: If you have over-tightened a tripod plate or top handle and the threads have "spun" or stripped, you will need to replace the internal threaded inserts provided in this kit.

  • Lost Fasteners: After a year of heavy vibration on car mounts or gimbals, it is common for the small chassis screws to vibrate loose. This kit ensures you have the exact OEM replacements.

  • Battery Power Issues: If your battery door doesn't latch securely, the LP-E6 battery can shift, causing the camera to lose power mid-take.

Key Differences: 6K vs. 6K Pro Service Kits

It is vital to ensure you have the correct kit for your specific model:

  • Battery Door: The standard 6K kit uses the LP-E6 door (smaller), while the Pro uses the NP-F570 door (larger).

  • Port Layout: While the ports are similar, the physical molding of the rubber flaps differs between the original 6K and the 6K Pro/G2 bodies.

  • Screen Parts: The standard 6K service kit does not include hinge parts, as the screen on this model is fixed.

Technical Installation Note

  • Adhesive Cleanup: When replacing the rubber port covers, use a Q-tip with a small amount of Isopropyl Alcohol to clean the "plug" holes. If there is old dirt or adhesive in the holes, the new covers will not stay seated.

  • Screw Torque: The 6K body is a carbon fiber composite, not metal. Do not over-tighten the screws. You should stop as soon as the screw head meets the body, then give it a "tiny" fraction of a turn. Over-tightening will crack the plastic screw bosses.

  • Battery Door Spring: When installing the new door, pay close attention to the orientation of the small torsion spring. If installed backward, the door will not "pop" open when the latch is pulled.

Expert Advice: If you are missing screws, do not replace them with random hardware store screws. The 6K uses specific lengths; a screw that is even 2mm too long can pierce the internal Main PCB or the Sensor Flex Cable when tightened down.

Are you looking to refresh the look of the camera for resale, or have you experienced a mechanical failure like a stripped mounting thread?

Not a bad start

3 stars Thank you Netgalley and Briar Boleyn for the ARC! A camelot/king Arthur retelling with fae. I was hooked by the idea of this book immediately and was eager to jump into this world. • slow burn • enemies to lovers • who did this to you Morgan Pendragon watched her mother die by her father's hand when she was just eight years old, hiding under the bed. Morgan is believed to have the tainted blood of the fae in her veins and is cast aside so that her fathers illegitimate son, Arthur, can become the king. She's seen his cruel treatment of the fae firsthand, so when he sends her on a journey to find a fae weapon she seizes the opportunity to do more with her life. Along the way, she finds more than she could have imagined. I don't know a whole lot about King Arthur and Camelot but I had a lot of fun with this story! The plot has some similar tropes to popular romantasy books (From blood and ash) but there's enough originality here that it doesn't feel like I'm reading a copy. I liked how the fae were different in appearance than what is typical in most fantasy books I've read. In this book they have blue hair, violet skin and a wide range of other characteristics. I thought that the world building was easy to follow and I could easily immerse myself into this world. After reading the blurb I kept wondering when she was going to go on the journey to find Excalibur and it doesn't happen until around the 45% mark. The story is a bit slow at times but starts to pick up once they begin their journey to find Excalibur. The John Wick style Inn was a fun concept that I enjoyed reading about. There are a lot of similarities to this and FBAA and I would have liked to have it be a little more different, but I'm hoping book two will have the story turn into something of its own. Overall I enjoyed reading this story and I'm looking forward to reading book two especially after that ending.

Great start
Format: Kindle
I loved this book! It's funny but still deals with tough themes, like chronic illness, a serial killer on the loose, and a dash of self-harm. The guys are interesting and distinct, we don't know too much about them yet. It does end on a really terrible cliffhanger but on the bright side the next book is out and I believe the series is complete. I have enjoyed both of these authors separately and this is a great team up!

Fudge!
Format: Kindle
Titles aren’t my strong suit. Sorry not sorry. That ending has me completely frustrated book two isn’t out yet. Just throwing that out there. First thing first, this is a high school book where the lead is under 18. Yea yea she’s about month from being an adult, but I can’t say I would’ve even opened the file if I’d realized. It’s not a smut fest or anything, but there is sexual tension as each party figures out their emotions. That being said, it’s a good book. There are some troubling parts, like how the supes come into their powers at 13, but most of those are dealt with in a way that makes sense. Kian is the exception. His whole arc pisses me off, especially since no one stepped in. Reflecting back on real world situations, ten or so years ago, I can see it happening, but it still makes me sick. Which, I’m sure was the whole damn point. For the most part, Courting Darkness is a fun read. I found myself laughing along with most of the set up. By the time it started getting serious, I’d grown to like the characters enough it held an impact. I’ll be adding book two to my list for when it comes out.

An intriguing story that played out slowly while introducing some unique characters. The story became quite fascinating to read as these same characters provided startling revelations to their lives. As their relationships evolve, more drama and mystery is revealed adding to my fascination. I can’t wait to read more.

Outstanding Story!!!!!!!
Format: Kindle
Oh I loved this story. Sera is such an amazing, fun character. She has so much fire inside of herself. She has humor that makes you laugh with her sassy comments. The guys are fantastic. I don’t feel as if we really have gotten to know who and what they are but they are such a mix of fae. The story is extremely well written and developed. It had me pulled in and didn’t let go. There was so much action, drama, and suspense. Then we get to the ending and goodness there is so much going on. This ending was a major cliffhanger and I absolutely can’t wait to see what happens next.
