14-18 Ram 3500 Rear Long Arm/Traction Bar Kit

Rear Long Lower Link Replacement System for your 2014 to 2018 3500 4x4 Ram Truck

Improve geometry and increase travel and traction on your 3500 4wd Ram rear suspension.
The original rear suspension was designed to suit OEM assembly needs, but it definitely leaves a lot to be desired for axle control and travel.
In this kit, you delete the lower oem control arms all together.
What you get is a heavy duty bolt on bracket for the lower part of your axle (where a bracket should have been), a bolt on bracket on your frame rails located by original holes, and a new super strong adjustable lower link, over 50” long, utilizing two bushing ends, and two of our 1-1/4” chromoly, heat treated, teflon/nylon lined rod ends. Optional boots available for the easiest of maintenance. (CLICK HERE)
Vehicle height depending, this can improve power planted to the ground, but definitely improve axle control, feel, and wheel hop.
Requires some drilling, and at least a small amount of trimming of the original frame lower link mount (does not effect ability to return to stock), with the option of removing it all together (the section you see sticking down when looking at the truck from the side) and adding our cover plate. (CLICK HERE)
We also have 5 adjustable replacement links to compliment this system in adjustability as well as relocation brackets for the track bar. (CLICK HERE)

INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS:

Original lower links will be removed and discarded, but they can be left in place during installation to help get your new lower adjustable link measurements.

The original bolts are pretty tight so it would be best to have them loose and ready to remove before the rest of the install, at least before they links.

Rear axle brackets install under original sway bar clamps on rear side of axle and can be done first.

   Install badges on brackets.

Remove original bolts from sway bar, slide bracket under sway clamp, replace original bolts with new longer 10mm bolts.

Brackets should be tight against axle tube below and flat against front lower axle gusset.

When properly aligned, drill 4 holes for each bracket for supplied 7/16” bolts and secure.

   Rear frame brackets.

The two frame link brackets will locate by original hex shaped holes in the outside edge of the frame. You can check approximate location with your lower links held in place.

With brackets held in place mark and drill the 15/32 hole for the self threading bolt up from the bottom.

Then, using a long tab blind nut, (twice) insert it into the frame in the leading larger hole and carefully extend it back (its a stretch, but with one finger on the tab against the frame its not bad) and thread a bolt/washer into the blind nut. (Grease on blind nut threads is recommended) Leave all a little loose until they are all in and tighten.

Once snugged, drill the through bolt holes in the rear of the bracket. Finish tightening all.

You need to grease ALL components that are involved in the links. Adjust to suit your needs, wheelbase, square, and pinion angle. Would largely depend on setup, lift height or air suspension travel goals, and whether you are using our adjustable upper links or not.

It won’t matter which end goes where, but we usually keep the rod ends at the frame end where it’s easy to spray them with a penetrant/lubricant.

Poor quality control - maybe outlet store leftovers
Size: 11.5, Color: Burgundy Polished Full Grain
The two shoes were not the same size. They were both labeled 11 1/2 but one shoe was larger than the other and the fit was poor. I returned the first pair and ordered a replacement. This time the shoes were close to the same size but too loose and the left one has sewing issues. I've bought Johnston & Murphy for years because of the quality. These were to replace an existing pair of burgundy penny loafers that have finally worn out (even after several heal/sole replacements). That is the expected quality. I suspect Nashville Shoe Warehouse may be handling shoes that didn't measure up for the quality; more like an outlet mall than getting the J&M quality I've come to expect. Update: went to Johnston & Murphy site to buy "direct" from the manufacturer. There were several recent reviews where the shoes were long and didn't fit properly. Genesco - please step up the manufacture / crafting of these classic shoes to the level of quality they used to have.

My husband enjoys wearing these shoes. Very classy looking. They fit well. They arrived quickly. He liked them so much he ordered another pair in a different color which have worked out just as well.

Way too narrow
Size: 9.5 Wide, Color: Burgundy Polished Full Grain
I ordered a wide in this shoe, but it was still way too narrow. I had to return them. Otherwise, it looked like a nice quality shoe.

I usually wear 11.5's, but I buy 1/2 size smaller to accommodate for stretch. Leather relaxes.
Size: 11, Color: Burgundy Polished Full Grain
5 STARS: These shoes are awesome. I keep coming back for more. I have major foot problems, have tried all kinds of shoes, orthotics, and inserts... but believe it or not, these shoes work better than any of that stuff. I wear them daily. I buy lots of them, for home, for church, and I'm getting my first pair of J&M boots today, for winters in Indiana... Brrrr

Sleek, upscale and supremely comfortable
Size: 9, Color: Cognac
I did not know that Marc Joseph makes hands free slip ins. I own four pair of Skechers, and I thought they were the only game in town. I decided that I wanted a pair of business casual pair of wingtips. I already own two pair of Skechers Mark Nason wingtips in blue and black nubuck, so I bought a pair of their cognac colored. Perfectly fine shoes, but when they arrived, I didn't like the color, so the search was on! I found these cognac-colored Mark Joseph's and hands down, they fit the bill for what I was looking for! I actually bought two more pair of Skechers in the brown family in the same oxford, elastic lace style: One pair of another style of their Mark Nason line and one pair of their Garza line. So now I am comparing three pair of Skechers to the Marc Joseph's. Obsessive, I know :). Luckily, I have a Skechers store near me for easy returns. The look I was going for is a sleek, business casual that I could dress up or down. Three things that I love about the Marc Joseph's are the beautiful cognac finish: the white yet lower profile soles and the more formal, narrower toe style. The MJ's nailed it with the color. They have a slightly darker, more lustrous and glossier look than the others. The color alone looks classier and pairs well with black pants which I wear for work almost every day. The white soles are exactly what I was looking for. The visible rise is probably about a third of the thickness of the others and are a much more subtle, classier look. They offset the cognac color nicely but are not that in your face, sneaker looking, thick white sole. When I was comparing them to the others right out of the box, I thought they would be too narrow and tight because they looked sleeker and narrower than the others. But they fit perfectly and were very comfortable right out of the box. Upon closer inspection and comparison, I realized the narrower, sleeker look is because the eyelets for the elastic shoelaces are closer together that give the illusion that the shoe is narrower. They compensate for what might create a tighter fit across the top of your foot with two stretchy "gores" they are called on either side of the upper part. The "slits" are nicely finished, and you can't see the stretchy part and add a nice design touch to the shoe. But between them and the elastic shoelaces, they must stretch just enough to make them extremely comfortable across the top. So, if you have a high instep/arch, they should accommodate it nicely. Last but not least, they are very comfortable shoes. I wear a size 8 1/2 to 9 and my foot is slightly on the wide side. I bought the size 9's and they fit perfectly. If you are between sizes or have wider feet, you may want to size up a half size. Because the Skechers have much thicker soles, they might be slightly more cushioned, but the MJ's are cushioned more than enough for my purposes and very comfortable. Plus, they actually just feel better on my feet. I can't speak to how durable they will be as I just got them, but so far, so good. So, there you have it. I rely on other people's reviews a lot when buying online, and especially for shoes. I know it's always a crap shoot, particularly when buying shoes online, so I hope this review helps. Everybody's feet are different, but I highly recommend these.
