Made from local grey clay and finished by hand, it was his salting technique that produced a glossy, textured finish that made the pieces iconic.

For 5 generations the family run company used the same sea salt and kiln to craft these classic kitchen staples found all over France. Poterie Renault's pieces are not longer in production, which makes finding one even more special.Â
