"To Love A Boy" and "Stay Open" are the first singles ever released by Maya Hawke (2019). They were written and released by Maya Hawke and Jesse Harris, her frequent writing partner who also wrote on her debut album 'Blush'. These songs were released as A-side/B-side on DSPs but have never before been available on physical.Maya's Quote about the songs -"After seeing the movie Call Me by Your Name for the second time, I left the theater and I was walking home to my apartment in Brooklyn, and I just started thinking about the images of water and the romantic feeling in that movie. I was just filled with this intense jealousy and desire be in love and feel that way. Then I wrote the lyrics to “To Love a Boy” as a poem, and I sent them to Jesse Harris, and he wrote that melody, and I loved it. It’s about this dream reality where you could love somebody in an all-consuming way, where it feels like when you’re swimming in the ocean on a hot summer day." (This is a 2023 Record Store Day release.)

We ordered this for Prom and it was supposed to be a size small, which was available for Prime ordering, but had to settle for xsmall. The only thing he would need to do is unbutton the jacket while he is dancing and maybe take it off while seated and eating dinner before prom. The material is surprisingly nice and has weight to it. I was relieved it isn't flimsy. The overall look on my son is smooth and we love the pattern and the material has shine to it. I was not happy that right out of the package, the button to the jacket could potentially fall off during because it doesn't look securely sewed in. The side of the right side of the jacket has thread already coming apart. And I found a little snag in a different location. I'm really not happy about that. I posted photos so you can see what I mean. We were excited about this suit, but it's going back. The company needs to do better with quality control.

They fit himn well and even with the sklim fit they aren't too tight due to us sizing up. They are nice and long (he is 6 foot) and fit him nicely.
