All Jura Certified Refurbished espresso machines are units that have been serviced directly at the North American Jura service facility. Each unit has a factory-serviced sticker on the bottom of it indicating that it was returned to Jura for any one of a variety of reasons ranging from buyer's remorse to an actual defect. In addition to any repairs, if even necessary, every factory reconditioned Jura machine receives a complete rebuild of the brew unit as well as having numerous seals and o-rings replaced throughout the hydraulic circuit, regardless of need. All machines that leave the North-American service facility are considered by Jura to perform "like new," though some very minor blemishes may be present, such as superficial scuffs or scratches which do not affect the overall appearance of the machine. Jura provides a full one-year warranty which guarantees that the factory will cover any warranty repair and shipping costs associated with that repair (to the lower contiguous 48 states) for the first year. Expansive Live Visual Programming

Not only do you not have to move your cup to make a cappuccino, you do not even need to know its size. With the S9 Classic, you can visually program it to remember all of your favorite cup sizes. Rather than entering the size, in ounces, through a program menu, you simply press and hold the cappuccino button (with your cup under the spout) and wait until the S9 Classic displays "Enough?" When your cup is filled with the desired amount of milk and/or foam, press the button again, and the S9 will remember your setting. Then set your espresso volume to produce your favorite size drink every time. You can always use the Rotary Dial to override the programming without fear of losing your favorite settings; the S9 will revert back on the next brew. This innovative programming feature works on all of the S9's beverage buttons. A special à la carte button is available to more easily make custom beverages every time. Activate the S9's Energy Save Mode © to lower the temperature of the unit without completely turning it off. Just as the S9 has two heating elements, it also has two energy saving settings: one to turn off the heating element for steam only, and one to also lower the temperature of the ThermoBlock for coffee. The first setting is perfect when you need espresso all day long but seldom require lattes or other milk beverages. The unique two-step pre-infusion cycle moistens and conditions the ground coffee, which means maximum flavor extraction with perfect crema topping. With the S9 you can brew one to sixteen ounce cups of coffee in five strength settings. It grinds from 5 to a maximum of 16 grams of coffee from extra mild to extra strong. The S9 will automatically discard up to 16 pucks (used coffee portions) before its puck container gets full.
