Hello and welcome!

Sunrises have a unique ability to connect me with the natural world and remind me of the beauty and wonder that exists all around us. They are a magical and awe-inspiring brief few moments that have the power to transform the way I see the world. In "Sobering Sunrises," I invite you to take a journey through seven years of stunning photography that captures the transformative power of nature. However, this book is not just about sunrises; it is a testament to my personal journey of sobriety and the support of my loved ones along the way.

Throughout my journey, I found strength in the support of my family, including my Mom, Dad, and brother Chris, who stood by me through the highs and lows of recovery. I also found guidance and great inspiration from my dear friend, John Wood, who helped me navigate many life challenges and provided keen insight and direction during my sobriety. I am forever eternally grateful to Randy Gifford and Jim Carlson for sticking by me and keeping me employed when I was becoming close to unemployable. And, perhaps most importantly, the love of my wife, Erin, whose unwavering support and encouragement is helping me bring many projects that were once dreams to fruition.

My journey is a testament to the transformative power of love, true friendship, support, and the natural world. In "Sobering Sunrises," I invite you to see how the beauty of the sunrise became a symbol of hope and inspiration, reminding me that every day is an opportunity for renewal and growth.
