From time to time letters are received in the editorial offices of the Gospel Trumpet Company giving special commendation of some article that his appeared in THE GOSPEL TRUMPET. Often we receive requests that the article commended be made available in book form. In response to these requests and because we feel that many articles from THE GOSPEL TRUMPET are worthy of preservation and circulation in a more permanent form, this book of messages from the ministry has been compiled. Most of these messages appeared at some time in the columns of THE GOSPEL TRUMPET. The twenty-four ministers who wrote these messages represent many different sections of the United States. There are messages from California and Oregon on the West Coast, from New York on the east, from Florida in the south, from Canada to the north, and many states in between these extremes. Some of these ministers are quite elderly, others quite young; some are pastors, some evangelists, some teachers, and others are serving the church in other capacities. It is believed that this wide cross-section of messages will encourage and strengthen the life of the church in these days. There are many other ministers worthy of a place in this book, but practical necessities limited the size of the work. However, represented in this book are most of those who write more or less regularly for our church paper.
