The origins of her striking blue eyes trace back to a story passed down through generations. It is said that while pregnant with Evi’s grandmother, her great-grandmother developed an insatiable craving for grilled fish. Yet each time she ate them, the flesh remained half-cooked, the fish’s eyes glistening as if still alive. “Their eyes looked almost human,” Evi’s grandmother once recalled.
