Le château de Neuschwanstein, situé en Bavière près de la ville de Füssen, a inspiré Walt Disney lorsqu’il a créé le Magic Kingdom. Neuschwanstein signifie littéralement Pierre du Nouveau Cygne qui est une référence au Chevalier Swan, un personnages d'un opéra par le compositeur Wagner Richard. Le roi Louis II a commencé la construction du château en 1869. Aujourd'hui, son château de conte de fées est le château le plus visité en Allemagne, il accueille plus que 1 300 000 touristes chaque année.
