It is a lacy shawl but is not a complicated knit and would suit someone with little experience of knitting lace patterns as well as a more experienced lace knitter. It makes a soft and cosy shawl. The two lace weight yarns are held together with occasions where there are stripes of each yarn on its own.

The main sample has been knitted with yarns of a similar colour but the yellow and green sample shows how more contrasting colours give a more varied effect.

The yarn has been hand dyed with natural dyes.

Seedhead - Kid Silk - 72% Kid Mohair, 28% Silk Lace weight 50g Skeins Approx. 420m

Shoot - Merino Singles - 100% Superwash Merino Wool Lace weight 100g Skeins Approx. 800m

The shawl finished size: 239 cm (94 inches) wide, 81 cm (32 inches) at the deepest point.

I have tried to capture the colour of the yarn as accurately as possible. Please bear in mind that monitors vary and colours can be perceived differently.

Due to the nature of hand dyeing, the colours in each skein may be slightly different and no two skeins will be identical. As with any hand dyed wool, if using more than one skein then alternating skeins on every couple of rows will help to balance any slight differences.

I have rinsed the yarn until it runs clear. However, some dye may remain.
I recommend you soak your finished item in a gentle/pH neutral soap. Natural dyes can change or fade slightly as they age. Hang to dry away from direct sunlight and store in a dark place.
