At its core, the NetMetal 5SHP is equipped with a powerful 720MHz CPU and 128MB of RAM, providing the processing power needed for stable, high-throughput connections. It features a Gigabit Ethernet port, an SFP cage for fiber optic connectivity, and two RP-SMA connectors for external antennas, allowing for customized, high-gain setups. With support for the 802.11ac standard, it can deliver data rates of up to 867 Mbit/s. The device is powered by MikroTik's versatile RouterOS with a Level 4 license, offering extensive control over routing, firewall, bandwidth management, and more.
